NEBOSH/HSE Introduction to incident investigation training, now available online
‘Introduction to Incident Investigation’ has been jointly developed by NEBOSH and Great Britain’s Health and Safety Regulator, the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). The course shows how non-complex incidents can be investigated effectively. By learning lessons and making improvements, organisations can avoid similar incidents occurring in the future.
Course Programme
The qualification is delivered over one day of tuition. Before the course, delegates may wish to undertake some pre-course study (which should take about 3 hours).
Pre-Course study
Before attending the course, delegates may wish to:
• read and understand the requirements of their organisation’s incident investigation policy;
• review a sample of their organisation’s previous incident investigation reports to find what lessons have been learned; and
• review some of the incident investigation case studies from the HSE’s website that may be relevant to their organisation, available at www.hse.gov.uk/slips/casestudies.htm
